Room-spiration: My Decorating Ideas

Hey guys! Springtime always gets me in the mood for redecorating, so I decided to show you guys a few decorating ideas from around my room.

I love having magazines and notebooks around, but I hate the cluttered look. Here I have a stack of magazines with my notebook on top, and a white starfish for some summery decoration.
Next on my desk I have my pen and pencil organizers. The blue container has little compartments that make it east for me to separate my pens from my pencils.
This is a desk drawer that I use for extra makeup storage. In the two boxes I have new makeup I haven't opened yet and makeup that I'm not currently using to save space on my desk top.

These are the clear, acrylic containers that I use to store my makeup in. The see-through drawers make it super easy to quickly find what I'm looking for.
The last thing on my desk is this blue container that I use to store my notepads. Storing my notepads upright instead of in a stack makes them much more accessible and easier to grab.
On my dresser, I have this initial-shaped jewelry holder that I use to store earrings and rings. I love the scalloped edges on the tray and the J shape to bring a unique, personal touch to my room.
My perfume storage is pretty unique. I used a silver makeup suitcase and left it open and filled it with all my lotions and perfumes. I think this is a great way to show off your items but also keep them organized in a way that doesn't feel like clutter.
For my extra change, I use an empty glass bottle. It looks even prettier the fuller it gets and it's a super easy DIY.
Lastly, I have this navy blue shelf that doubles as a coat hanger that I hang all of my purses on. On the shelf, I have a picture frame with a postcard from Chicago, a vase of fake pink roses, and some antique blue birds I got from my grandparents. To fill up some of the empty wall space, I cut three post it notes into heart shapes and put them on the wall.

That's all for my decorating ideas. I might be doing a makeup or perfume collection post soon, so comment below if that is something you would like to see. Bye guys : )

How to Style: Floral Dresses

hey guys!

Lately I've been gaining a lot of fashion inspiration from Pinterest. I've been dying to break out my floral dresses for spring, but the weather is still much too cold where I live. I found three great ideas for layering floral dresses to create some fun, but functional outfits for cool spring mornings.

1 . Floral Dress + Cardi, Infinity Scarf, and Braided Belt

This combo looks super warm. The cardi and knit scarf will keep your arms warm while the belt adds a cute detailed touch.

2 . Floral Dress + Army Jacket

Any kind of over sized jacket is a great way to add more of your style to a girly floral printed dress. This green army jacket does a great job of picking up the green tones in her dress. If your style is a little more edgy, you could wear a cropped moto jacket or a worn in denim jacket for a more boho look.

3 . Floral Dress + Flowy Sweater and Long necklace

A cute, cropped or flowy sweater looks chic with a long chain necklace layered over a floral dress.

Hope that gives you all some ideas on how to style your floral dresses! Have any more ideas for me? Comment below and I'll see you soon!

How to get the Perfect Messy Curls

How to get the Perfect Messy Curls

hey guys!

So I love curling my hair, but on busy school mornings, I want something effortless and quick. That's why I wanted to show you how I curl my hair to achieve loose, relaxed curls that take less than 15 minutes, even on my thick hair (:

01 . Start by brushing out your hair and spraying it with a heat protectant.

02 . Gather your hair into a loose, high ponytail at the crown of your head.

03 . Set your curling wand to the highest heat setting. If you don't have a curling wand, just use a regular curling iron without the clamp.

04 . Taking a one inch section from your ponytail, wrap it around the curling iron and hold it for no more than 8 seconds.

05 . Instead of just letting your curl go, hold the curl in a spiral shape in your hand until it cools off. (This step is really important, this is what sets your curl and helps it last longer.)

06 . Repeat this step for the rest of the hair in your ponytail. I usually do about 6 to 8 curls, and I have pretty thick and long hair.

07 . Once you are done curling all the hair in your ponytail, spray it with a lightweight hairspray.

08 . After the hairspray is dry, very gently take out your hair tie.

09 . Run your fingers through your hair a few times to separate the curls, and spray with more hairspray if needed and go back and curl any sections that you missed.

That's it! It may seem a little lengthy at first, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it's so quick and easy! Let me know if you try this out on your hair in the comments below, and I would love to know if you have any more hair curling tips for me! Bye : )

February Favorites

hey guys. I can't believe February is almost over! Although it's sad that the month's gone by so fast, I am definitely ready for spring weather (and the fashion that comes with it :). With that being said, I wanted to share with you guys my favorite products from this past month and tell you guys how much I loved them!

01 . Essie "Hors D'oeuvres" This nail polish is very unique. It's a silvery sparkly color with flakes of gold, and it looks absolutely gorgeous as an accent nail or on it's own.

02 . Benefit "They're Real" Mascara My all time fave, this mascara does wonders for my lashes. It gives them volume, length, and holds a curl. Perfect, right?

03 . Lush "It's Raining Men" Shower Gel With it's honey and lotus flower scent, this shower gel makes you smell amazing and super sweet.

04 . Benefit "Benetint" This rose-colored cheek tint gives you a gorgeous flush that looks natural and healthy. Make sure you don't get carried away, because a little goes a long way with this product.

05 . Bigelow Green Tea with Mango Tea is essential to get me through these chilly winter mornings, and this tea is delicious and super healthy, too.

06 . NYX Butter Gloss in "Creme Brulee" I tend to shy away from most lip gloss because of it's sticky formula, but this gloss is super smooth and pigmented. I wear it almost everyday and it gives my lips a natural shine.

Those are my favorites for this month. What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments. Bye : )
