Workout Wednesday: "Lazy Girl Workout" Ideas!

Hey everybody! Time for Workout Wednesday! I know you are probably wondering how this workout works, but it's not actually a workout at all! The lazy girl workout (well, my version at least) is a list of tips and mini excercises that you can do almost anywhere! I call it a "drops in the bucket" workout, because doing a little at a time will really add up to a healthier you by the end of the summer! This is a great way to keep in shape if you are busy this summer! So, here are my tips on how to get in shape the lazy way!

  • 10 situps every time you get out of bed.
  • Calf raises for two minutes every time you brush your teeth.
  • Push against your doorframe for 10 seconds everytime you enter your bedroom.
  • Hold a plank for 30 seconds every commercial break.
  • Do 20 crunches before you watch a Youtube video.
  • 10 squats before you check your facebook.
  • 10 lunges every time you check your twitter.
  • 50 jumping jacks every time you have an unhealthy snack.
  • 20 mountain climbers when you check your Instagram.
  • 60 ski jumps before you turn on Netflix.
  • 30 crunches and 30 squats before you go to the pool.
  • 20 scissor legs everytime you go to bed.
  • Plie squats while you brush your hair.
  • Elbow plank every time you eat a candy bar.
  • 50 criss cross jumps before you start a movie.
  • 10 jumping jacks every time you send a Snapchat.
  • 30 bicep curls every time you grab a soda.
  • 20 quick jump rope jumps before you open the fridge.
So, obviously, it's impossible to remember all of these! Just pick a few that you will do the most and leave yourself a Post-It note somewhere so you remember! By the end of the summer, you wont think twice about doing calf raises at the sink or squats before you get on facebook. The goal of this workout is not to replace your workout, but to ADD to it and keep you thinking healthy all summer long. Come back next wednesday for some more workout fun!
