Snowed in? 15 things to do on a Snow Day

Hey Everyone! If you didn't hear from my last post, I had a snow day today and I figured a lot of you guys were probably snowed in from the storm, too. That's why I decided to make a list of things for you to do on a snow day! (Don't worry, I included some fashion and beauty ideas, too). Hope you enjoy!

Getting ready:

1.The first thing you should do when you wake up is look outside your window! Seeing the untouched snow in the morning always makes me excited!

2. Take a looonnngggg shower. Nothing feels better on a cold morning than a steaming hot shower. This is also a good time to use any yummy smelling soaps or fancy shampoo to make you feel pampered (:

3. Dress cozy! As you can see from my outfit in the picture above, this is a perfect day to wear an oversized, super soft sweater and some comfy leggings. Don't forget the warm, fuzzy socks!

Now you are all ready for your snow day! There are plenty of things to do, even if you don't want to do anything big and just have a day to relax.

4. Have a movie marathon. Wanting to catch up on Pretty Little Liars or rewatch all the Harry Potter movies (maybe for the fourth or fifth time :) ? Microwave a big bag of popcorn and spend your day in front of the TV onder a huge pile of blankets!

5. Build a Fort. Childish? Maybe. Worth it? Definetly. Take all the blankets in your house and turn your basement into a fortress. Your little siblings will love you!

6. Surf the web. Maybe you are already doing that... But snow days are a great day to add to your pinterest boards and get some great ideas and inspirations! Don't know where to start? My favorite blogs are listed under my profile. Or there are lots of apps like Beautylish and Wanelo where you can look at tons of beauty products and cute clothes.

7. Catch up on some reading. Make yourself a cup of cocoa and snuggle up with some blankets and that book you started two months ago. You're not a huge reader? Grab a magazine or even a shopping catalog and read about spring fashion to take your mind off of the cold weather.

8. Make a new playlist. This is a great time to go through your music library and discover that song you never knew you had or to download that song that you wish you had!

Well, this IS a beauty blog, so maybe you need some ideas to have a spa day!

9. Give yourself a mani pedi. Paint your nails a bright color or do some nail art. Be creative!

10. Try a new hair or makeup trick. Don't be afraid to do something daring, no one besides your family is going to see you!

Maybe you want to use your snow day to get some stuff done, tackle a project or do something new!

11. Make a DIY project. I'm guessing most of you have pinterest boards full of them. And if you're anything like me, they never get done. Well today's the day to use the crafty side of yourself and create something amazing! If you do, make sure to tell me about it in the comments below!

12. Do some baking. There was never a bad day for warm, gooey brownies with hot fudge drizzled on top... making you drool yet? Then go into the kitchen and get cooking!

13. Organize your closet. That means get rid of that itchy sweater you never wear and make room for some cute new spring clothes! If your closet is already clean, then you can go on Polyvore and spend hours creating outfits and getting some style inspiration.

If you are feeling brave enough to go outside, then there are even more things you can do!

14. Shovel the driveway. Yeah, so it's definetly not that fun. But it would sure make your parents happy and they might even pay you for it. What about that old lady who lives down the street? She would be so grateful for your help and it will make you feel good on the inside, too.

15. Play outside in the snow. Nobody is too old for a good, old fashioned snowball fight. Or you can build a fort, make snow angels, build a snowman. It may sound lame, but I assure you that if you dress warmly enough, you will have a lot of fun.

Thats it for my snow day ideas. What have I been doing on my day off? Catching up on some homework, blogging, and getting a few hours of much needed sleep. Yeah, it's not all fun, but it needs to get done (: I have the day off tomorrow, too, and I'll probably be using this list for ideas. Any more ideas for me? Comment below to tell me what you will be doing on your snow day or if you have another topic you would like me to post about. Bye everyone!!

Drugstore Beauty Haul!

Hey everyone! Soo I wasn't planning on posting this today but since it's a SNOW DAY here I decided to post it early! I went to the drugstore this past weekend and picked up some products that I wanted to share with you!

The first thing that I bought was a Maybelline Color Tatoo! I have been hearing about these a ton and have been meaning to get one for forever!
I got the shade "Barely Branded", which is a very light, shimmery color that would be great as a highlighter in the inner corners of your eyes or just as an eyeshadow base. I have used this once already, and I have to say, it really lives up to the high expectations I have for this product! I would definetly recommend purchasing this next time you go to the drugstore.

The next thing I bought is a Dream Bouncy Blush from Maybelline in the shade 05 Fresh Pink.
I had previously had one of these blushes before in the shade Orchid Hush and I loved the consistency of it.

As you can see from the swatch, it is a very sheer blush. It is not as pigmented as some other blushes I have tried, but it is nice for an everyday, springtime glow.

I have been needing a new concealer, so I decided to pick up this concealer balm from Covergirl. I am in the shade light.
I really like the consistency of this, and when I blend it in, it is a great match for my skin tone.

The last makeup product I picked up was a new product from Covergirl called the Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm.
It's basically like a crayon for your lip! I got the shade Blush Twist. It's a really nice, soft, shimmery blush-pink color. Its super sheer but also very hydrating! I will definetly be wearing this a lot this spring.

I also picked up some non-makeup products that I decided I would quickly share with you here at the end.
I got a hairspray from Herbal Essences in the Maximum Hold kind, the strongest their is. I have very thick hair so I need something that will hold a curl all day long, and this stuff works great (and smells great, too!).
Then I got the 3 minute miracle deep conditioning treatment from Aussie. I have heard a ton of great review on this, and from the one time I have tried it so far, It works great on my hair! It's great with a cleansing shampoo to really heal your damaged hair and it smells like a pina colada! Perfect for summer (:

I also picked up just a basic moisturizing body wash from Olay. This one feels really good on my skin and leaves it feeling super soft after my shower.

I needed some new face wipes, so I got this cleansing kind from Simple. If you have sensitive skin like me, I would recommend using these because they work really well and NEVER irratate my skin.
The last thing I got were these cosmetic wedges from Studio 35 Beauty. These are my ABSOLUTE FAV and I don't use any other kind of cosmetic wedges now!

So that's it for my Drugstore Makeup haul! If you would like a more in-depth review on any of these products, leave a comment below. Anything specific you would like me to post about? Just tell me in the comments! Bye everyone!!
